Guides for better AI video

Practical, honest advice from the team building Cliplee.

Writing prompts that work

How to describe subject, action, camera and mood so the model gives you what you imagine.

Start with the subject and the action

Say who or what is on screen and what they do: "A paper boat drifts down a rain-soaked street."

Add camera and light

Describe the shot: close-up, slow dolly, aerial. Then the light: golden hour, neon at night, soft overcast.

Describe what you want, not what you do not

The current model has no negative prompt. Write "clear sky" instead of "no clouds".

Choosing aspect ratio, length and resolution

Match the format to where the video will be seen.

Aspect ratio

9:16 for Reels, Shorts and TikTok. 16:9 for YouTube, websites and presentations. 1:1 for feeds.

Length

5–15 seconds is one clip. 20–60 seconds is made from several clips joined together.

Resolution

Draft at 480p to explore ideas cheaply, then use 768p or 2K for the final version.

Planning longer videos

How Cliplee turns one brief into a multi-scene video.

Scenes, then assembly

Each scene is generated separately at a length the model supports, then all scenes are joined into one MP4.

Keep things consistent

Use continuity notes for characters, wardrobe and style. They are added to every scene prompt.

Fix one scene at a time

If a scene is not right, edit or regenerate just that scene and reassemble.

Using AI video responsibly

Consent, disclosure and checking your results.

Consent for real people

Only use faces and voices with permission. Never create content that impersonates or misleads.

Disclose AI where it matters

Tell your audience when realistic scenes were generated, especially in news-like or factual contexts.

Review before you publish

AI video can contain mistakes or artefacts. Check every result before using it.
